Here are most of the ways to get m-coins in Last Fortress:
- Get hourly from Exploration
- Get as a reward from Personal Armaments Race (World Exploration)
- Buy in Trade Center for z-coins
- Farm by rallying and mopping zombies
- Get from Turret usages
- Open chests
- Buy a Bar and Christine
- Buy in Alliance Shop
- Get as rewards in the Alliance Duel chests
- Get as rewards from Season Quest
- Get as rewards from Season Vanguard
- Trade for special items in the Hunting Spree event
- Capture resource mines
- Buy in packs
Exploration
Exploration allows you to get m-coins hourly (among other things) – the more stages you clear, the more m-coins you will get per hour. The number increases every five stages you clear.
This is also the number you want to keep in mind when using m-coin time items or applying all the buffs. The time items use the base amount only. All the buffs from heroes and other sources apply to this base number.
Besides getting through the Exploration stages, there are other ways you can get more m-coins from Exploration:
- Buying premium: I think this is the reason you should even consider getting a premium. It gives a +50%! bonus to Exploration m-coins output per hour.
- Upgrading your VIP level: The higher your VIP level, the higher the Exploration Collection buff. The maximum is +69% (nice).
- Upgrading some of the Solari hero skills: Some production heroes have skills that buff m-coin gathered from Exploration:
- Harrison – third skill “Commemorative Coins obtained from Explorations” gives a buff of up to +10%.
- Emma – third skill “Commemorative Coins obtained from Explorations” gives a buff of up to +10%.
- Bacchus – third skill “Commemorative Coins obtained from Explorations” gives a buff of up to +10%.
- Wolowitz – second skill “Exploration buff” gives a buff of up to +30%.
- Getting a 5-star policy card: There is a 5-star policy card “Directional Exploration” that provides a +15% m-coins Exploration buff, which can be increased to +23% by upgrading this card to the maximum.
With all these, you can get +202% to Exploration m-coins per hour, which gives you 1510 m-coins per hour or 253,680 m-coins per week.
Personal Armaments Race (World Exploration)
World Exploration is a 5-hour phase of the Personal Armaments Race with m-coins and m-coin time as rewards for rallying Mutants and using any speed-ups.
Here’s when this phase starts on different days (server time):
- MON – 12-18
- TUE – 12-18
- WED – 0-6
- THU – 6-12
- FRI – 0-6
If you get all three rewards every day, you can get 650 m-coins and 52,5 hours of m-coins from exploration weekly.
My exploration is maxed, I have the premium buff, and I have buffs from Solari heroes, which allows me to get 500 m-coins per hour from exploration. So, 52,5 hours will give me 26,250 memento coins – only from the hours I get from World Exploration.
Trade Center
Randomly, you will get 30-min memento time items, eight if to be precise. By trading eight times a day, you will generally get at least four 30-min m-coin items. I wrote down how many minutes I got every day for 20 days, and in Average, you will get 350 minutes of m-coins a day, which is 2,450 minutes a week or around 20,416 m-coins.
Rallying and Mopping-up Zombies
Rallying a Mutant will get you several rewards, including m-coins.
If you have Quinn with her last skill maxed out in the lineup that is rallying or mopping-up zombies, the number of m-coins you receive will be increased by 30%.
During S0, you will have only level five Mutants. By rallying five of them every day, you can get 5500 m-coins daily or 38,500 weekly. And, if you rally them with Quinn, that becomes 50,050 m-coins a week.
And if we do the same math for other Mutants, we get the following numbers per week:
- Level 6 – 45,500 or 59,150 (Quinn)
- Level 7 – 52,500 or 68,250 (Quinn)
- Level 8 – 56,000 or 72,800 (Quinn)
During two out of four weeks a month starting from S1, you can rally Bifrons within the Revenge Quest event. For each Bifrons, you can get 160 m-coins, and you can rally up to four of them a day. If you do that every day during a week, which is possible if you cooperate with your alliance members and do them with maximum rally capacity, you can get 4,480 m-coins every other week. If you spend extra time and rally them with Quinn, you will get 5,824 m-coins.
As for mopping-up zombies, you will also get some m-coins for each zombie:
- Level 20 – 27
- Level 25 – 54
- Level 30 – 84
I didn’t include each zombie, only the ones you will usually prioritize.
It is possible to mop up 40 zombies a day, so let’s calculate the m-coins:
- Level 20 – 1,080 a day, 7,560 a week or 9,828 with Quinn
- Level 25 – 2,160 a day, 15,120 a week or 19,656 with Quinn
- Level 30 – 3,360 a day, 23,520 a week or 30,576 with Quinn
Turret Usages
By using the Turret, you can get m-coins, too. The number of coins depends on the level of your Entrance Hall.
It is possible to use the Turret around ten times a day. At level 27 Entrance Hall, you’ll get 140 m-coins per use, so that’s 1,400 for 10 uses. 10 uses a day gives you 9,100 m-coins a week.
Resource Chests
You can get 50 m-coins in resource chests with a 20% probability. Roughly, it is every 5th chest you open. So, for every 100 resource chests, you will get about 1,000 m-coins. And getting 100 resource chests will usually take you more than a week.
Bar with Christine
There is a facility called Bar that you can only purchase, and there is a Solari Christine who is supposed to work there.
The Bar itself provides a certain number of m-coins per hour, and Christine can boost that with her first skill by up to +25%.
She’s also got a skill that would provide up to five additional m-coins for every 40 points of LUK. But it’s not worth getting there, as you would have to buy six Christinas to unlock her final skill and then spend 185 elite hero medals to max the skill. Plus, considering that LUK is her primary stat, you could get about 1200 LUK if she is maxed in rarity and level. That will provide you with additional 150 m-coins per hour.
Let’s do some math. A level 27 Bar gets you 213 m-coins per hour, and Christina with her first skill maxed will add 53.3. With these, you will get 6,390 m-coins a day, or 44,730 m-coins a week.
I would recommend getting the Bar as early as possible, as it will have the most impact that way. That is if you are willing to spend money on the game.
Alliance Shop
At level 10 of your Alliance, you will unlock 4-hr Exploration Memento Coins in Alliance Shop that can be bought for 5,000 Alliance Contribution medals.
It’s not a bad deal. Let’s say your Exploration is at 25-10 and your base m-coin gain is 500 per hour. If you get four of 4-hr Items a week, that’s 8,000 m-coins.
Furthermore, you can get 1,000 m-coins for 10 Merit coins. If your limit is 300 Merit, that amounts to 30,000 m-coins a week. If your limit is 500 (extended for $10 a month), you can get 40,000 a week, and you will have 100 spare Merit.
In total, it is possible to get ~50,000 m-coins a week from Alliance Shop.
Alliance Duel Rewards
You can get m-coins in every Alliance Duel reward chest:
- First three (20,000-320,000) – 200 m-coins
- Second batch (600,000-2mil) – 240 m-coins
- Last batch (2,4mil-4mil) – 340 z-coins
By reaching 4mil chests every Duel day, you can get 5,460 m-coins a week. And if you research all three “Once Again” upgrades, you can double that number and get 10,920 m-coins a week.
Note: if you go to the 10-mil chest on Research Day, you will get +700 m-coins.
Season Quest
If you get to level 99 of Season Quest, you can get:
- 10,000 m-coins for the free version
- 30,000 for the “ascended” paid version
In total, it’s possible to get 30,000 m-coins, which is not a lot, considering the Quest usually takes you more than a month to get to the end.

Season Vanguard
Starting from Season 1, each season, you will have an event called “Season Vanguard” where you can get one reward for each level of crystal mines you capture.
Among these, you can get 210,000 m-coins if you capture mines of all levels.
Hunting Spree
In the Hunting Spree event, you can exchange masks for m-coins (3 masks for 100 coins). And overall, you can get 1,000 m-coins during the event. But it is not worth it. You would be better off getting hero medals and cards.
Resource Mines
Starting from Season 1, you will have to capture red and blue ore mines. You will get m-coins for the first capture of the mine and for any captures after the first.
For the first capture:
- Level 1 – 100
- Level 2 – 150
- Level 3 – 200
- Level 4 – 250
- Level 5 – 400
- Level 6 – 450
- Level 7 – 500
- Level 8 – 550
- Level 9 – 600
- Level 10 – 800
Second capture:
- Level 1 – 18
- Level 2 – 21
- Level 3 – 24
- Level 4 – 27
- Level 5 – 30
- Level 6 – 36
- Level 7 – 42
- Level 8 – 48
- Level 9 – 54
- Level 10 – 60
Once the season comes to its end, you can capture and release first-capture mines to get a decent number of m-coins.
For example, If you capture ten level seven mines a day, that’s 5,000 m-coins, which is 35,000 m-coins a week.
Buying
Of course, you can use real $$$ to purchase m-coins.
Without taking into account special offers and promotions, you can buy m-coins at Supply Station in the form of m-coin hours.
You can either get 12 hours as a one-time purchase or buy a week-long supply granting you 12 hours every day during a week. This is recommended as you can use a bronze voucher to decrease the price of this pack.
12 * 7 = 84
If your base Exploration income of m-coins is 500, that’s 84*500 = 42,000 m-coins a week.
You can also purchase a Memento Coin pack of 40 hours in the Weekly Special section of the Supply Station.
Bottom Line
Based on the information above, the three most effective ways of getting m-coins are:
- Maxing your Exploration m-coin output
- Rallying Mutant Zombies and mopping up the regular ones
- Having a Bar with Christine
Suppose your base level is 27. If you focus on getting as many m-coins as possible and you have Bar with Christine, you could get up to 600,000 a week with minimal investments of $$$. That’s enough to level up one hero from 95 to 100 once a week.
