Support
1: Primary tank slot maximises damage absorbed and Focus generation. Link of Life activates fastest here, and Buri draws the most hits to trigger Stored Rage (+100% Focus when attacked) and Inurn (restores 250 Focus + 3% max HP when any hero dies). Position 1 is mandatory with Guardian STR.
2: Secondary tank slot when another hero like Bolton holds position 1. Buri still absorbs enough front-row damage to build Focus quickly and Link of Life functions identically regardless of slot.
3: Emergency fallback. Buri’s Link of Life still works from the back row, but he generates Focus much more slowly without front-row targeting, delaying the critical Link activation.
Buri is the ultimate Wildlings tank whose Link of Life connects all heroes, distributing 50% of incoming damage evenly across the lineup while granting 24% DMG Mitigation for 2 rounds. His Guardian STR exclusive gear enables Link of Life at battle start and provides a one-time death immunity to any ally who takes fatal damage. With his Frosty Coffin UW granting all linked allies +15% crit rate and +30% crit DMG, Buri transforms from a pure protector into a team-wide offensive catalyst.
Pros & Cons
- Link of Life distributes 50% of all incoming damage evenly across the entire team with +24% DMG Mitigation for 2 rounds, preventing any single hero from being burst down.
- Guardian STR exclusive gear casts Link of Life at battle start (no Focus needed) and increases damage share by 20% per additional cast, while the 4-piece preserves any ally at 1 HP on fatal damage with 100% DMG Mitigation until round end.
- Frosty Coffin UW grants all linked allies +15% crit rate and +30% crit DMG, turning a defensive mechanic into a team-wide offensive steroid.
- Stored Rage gives +100% Focus gain when attacked, ensuring rapid Link of Life recasts from the front line.
- Flow of Life shields the lowest-HP teammate for 12% of Buri’s max HP every time Link of Life is cast, providing targeted burst protection.
- Link of Life only distributes 50% of damage — concentrated single-target burst can still kill a low-HP hero through the remaining 50% that isn’t shared.
- Focus drain from Casino delays Link of Life activation, removing both the damage distribution and the Frosty Coffin crit buffs until Buri can recast.
- Buri himself has no self-healing, so without a dedicated healer like Ada, the distributed damage slowly grinds him down over multiple rounds.
Skills
Links all heroes in your lineup. 30/34/38/42/50% of the damage received by a linked hero will be evenly distributed among all linked heroes who will also gain 14.4/16.4/18.2/20.2/24% DMG Mitigation, lasting for 2 rounds.
+7.5/9/10.5/12/15% HP for the hero.
Focus increases by 50/60/70/80/100% when being attacked.
Whenever a hero (of either the enemy side or your side) dies, Buri restores 150/170/190/210/250 Focus and some HP equal to 1.5/1.8/2.1/2.4/3% of his max HP.
When casting "Link of Life," apply a shield of 6/7.2/8.4/9.6/12% of Buri‘s maximum HP to the friendly target with the lowest HP.
Gear
Guardian STR is mandatory — it defines Buri’s entire playstyle by enabling battle-start Link of Life and providing death immunity. The second slot depends on the lineup: Super Core for position 1 tanking to accelerate the team’s Focus, Resolute for survival insurance against burst lineups, or Mental Control when another hero holds Super Core.
Buri’s exclusive set and the single most important gear in his kit. 2-piece casts Link of Life at round 1 without waiting for Focus and adds +20% damage share per subsequent cast. 4-piece grants Buri 5% less DMG taken and preserves any ally at 1 HP on fatal damage with 100% DMG Mitigation until the round ends (once per battle). Non-negotiable best-in-slot.
#1 BestAccelerates Focus generation across the lineup from position 1, letting Link of Life recast sooner for stacking damage share. 4-piece provides +10% DMG Mitigation and a round-start +5% DMG / +5% DMG Mitigation cycle.
#2Provides Focus-related bonuses that synergize with Stored Rage, helping Buri recast Link of Life more frequently. Useful when Super Core is needed on another hero.
#3Death immunity 4-piece ensures Buri survives a burst kill attempt. If Buri dies, the entire lineup loses Link of Life and the Frosty Coffin crit buffs — Resolute prevents that collapse.
#4Maximum raw tankiness. Stacks DEF and DMG Mitigation to reduce the distributed damage Buri takes from his own Link of Life. Fallback option when no higher-ranked sets are available.
#5Pure defensive set that boosts HP and DEF, extending Buri’s survival window and the duration of Link of Life. Best when the lineup has strong healing and Buri just needs to stay alive.
#6Buri’s kit scales entirely with survivability. Every substat should prioritise HP%, VIT, DEF, and DMG Mitigation. Do not roll offensive substats — Buri’s damage output is irrelevant; his value is keeping Link of Life active as long as possible.
HP%, VIT, DMG Mitigation
HP% and VIT directly scale the damage Buri can absorb before dying, extending Link of Life’s duration. DMG Mitigation reduces the distributed damage Buri takes from his own Link mechanic.
HP%, VIT, AGI
HP% and VIT continue building the HP pool. AGI improves defensive targeting resistance and helps Buri act earlier for faster Link of Life activation if Guardian STR is not equipped.
DEF, VIT, DMG Mitigation
Pure defense. Higher DEF and DMG Mitigation reduce all incoming damage including the portion Buri absorbs from his own Link of Life distribution.
HP%, VIT, Skill Effect Enhancement
HP% and VIT maximise the HP pool. Skill Effect Enhancement increases the shield from Flow of Life and the DMG Mitigation from Link of Life.

Primary tank. Guardian STR casts Link of Life at battle start and provides death immunity. Resolute adds a second death immunity layer. Frosty Coffin UW grants all linked allies +15% crit rate and +30% crit DMG, directly amplifying Heytex’s rocket barrage.
Secondary tank providing team-wide DMG Mitigation through Guardian of Justice. AC Shield absorbs distributed damage from Link of Life. Justice gear debuffs back-row enemies with +30% DMG taken, amplifying Heytex’s AOE damage.
AOE damage dealer applying burning to all enemies through Hellfire. Burning status fuels Heytex’s Blaze Shark UW for additional bullet procs. Blaze exclusive gear amplifies burning damage and duration.
Primary carry. Blaze Shark UW fires additional bullets when enemies are burning from Benson’s Hellfire. Frosty Coffin’s crit buffs from Buri amplify every rocket hit. War Ender exclusive gear enhances Pursue barrages.
Dedicated healer who sustains the lineup through Buri’s distributed damage. Battlefield Treatment heals the lowest-HP hero each round, and First Aid triggers additional healing from status effects like burning.
The premier Buri lineup pairing damage distribution with Heytex’s AOE carry potential. Buri’s Link of Life ensures Heytex survives long enough to fire multiple Pursue barrages, while Frosty Coffin’s +15% crit rate and +30% crit DMG massively amplify Heytex’s many rocket hits. Bolton provides secondary tanking and back-row debuffs through Justice gear, Benson fuels Heytex’s Blaze Shark with burning, and Mira heals through the distributed damage.
Primary tank. Guardian STR casts Link of Life at battle start and provides death immunity. Super Core accelerates Focus across the lineup. Frosty Coffin’s crit buffs benefit all Wildlings damage dealers. Damage distribution triggers Ada’s Aid in Need constantly.
Core healer. Breeze applies 2 Reviving layers at battle start before any action. Alpha Bless adds team shields at round 1 and +8% Crit Immunity. Raging Roar heals all heroes and triggers God-Slaying Axe’s +10% DMG / +10% DMG Mitigation buff. Aid in Need fires constantly thanks to Buri’s damage distribution.
Seed of Life places a time bomb on an enemy that heals the lineup when triggered. Corvine Curse reduces a random enemy’s all stats by 8% each round. Spirit exclusive gear targets an additional enemy with Corvine Curse and makes Seed of Life bloom apply +25% DMG taken.
Cursed Scythe reduces all enemy STR, INT, and AGI by 12% for 2 rounds. Soul Reaper boosts Elaine’s stats by 100% of the stat loss inflicted. Skeleton exclusive gear debuffs the three highest-stat enemies at battle start and makes the lowest-INT enemy take +8% more damage permanently.
Staunch Will shields all allies on every focus skill cast. Chimera Anchor UW triggers 50% TAC ATK damage to a random enemy each time a shield is applied (up to 5x per round). Guardian INT scales shield size with rounds elapsed. Fifth Wildlings hero securing the +20% faction bonus.
The defining Wildlings sustain lineup. Buri’s Link of Life distributes 50% of all incoming damage evenly across the team — every hero takes a small, constant stream of hits each round. This is precisely the condition Ada’s Aid in Need is built for: each distributed hit counts toward her 10% HP threshold, triggering reactive Reviving heals on low-HP heroes almost every action. Ada heals back what Buri spreads; Buri prevents anyone from dying to a single burst. Eva and Elaine provide Wildlings DPS and debuffs while Harman’s shields layer on top. All 5 heroes are Wildlings for the maximum +20% ATK/HP faction bonus.
Primary tank. Guardian STR casts Link of Life at battle start and provides death immunity. Frosty Coffin’s crit buffs directly amplify Victoria’s Lightsword burst. Damage distribution prevents Victoria from being sniped before she can attack.
Staunch Will shields all allies. Shields trigger Victoria’s Energy Detection for +200 Focus and damage bonuses. Alpha Bless provides team-wide Crit Immunity and round 1 shields. Chimera Anchor UW deals chip damage per shield event. Guardian INT scales shields with rounds elapsed.
Seed of Life softens targets for Victoria. Corvine Curse reduces enemy stats each round. Soul Split shares Eva’s INT with Victoria, boosting her TAC ATK for stronger Lightsword. Spirit exclusive gear targets an additional enemy with Corvine Curse.
AOE pressure carry. Frosty Coffin’s crit buffs from Buri amplify Heytex’s many rocket hits. War Ender exclusive gear enhances Pursue barrages. Heytex softens multiple targets while Victoria finishes priority kills.
Primary single-target carry. Energy Detection copies shields from Harman and Alpha Bless for Focus and damage bonuses. Lightsword adds 250% of her shield as damage. Frosty Coffin’s +15% crit rate and +30% crit DMG from Buri stack with Thunder Blade UW’s +15% back-row DMG.
Buri’s damage distribution protects Victoria from burst kills, giving her time to build shields and unleash devastating Lightsword attacks. Frosty Coffin’s +15% crit rate and +30% crit DMG massively amplify Victoria’s single-target burst. Harman provides additional shields that feed Victoria’s Energy Detection for Focus and damage bonuses. Eva and Heytex deliver AOE pressure while Buri keeps the entire lineup alive through Link of Life.
Synergies
Buri’s Link of Life distributes 50% of incoming damage evenly across all heroes. Every distributed hit chips away at each hero’s HP in small amounts — precisely the condition Ada’s Aid in Need is optimised for. Her 10% max HP threshold triggers almost every action cycle, delivering Reviving heals in near-continuous loops. Both are Wildlings, contributing to the faction bonus.
Frosty Coffin UW grants +15% crit rate and +30% crit DMG to all linked allies while Link of Life is active. Heytex fires many individual rocket hits per round through Pursue barrages — each hit benefits independently from the crit buffs, dramatically amplifying his total damage output across a full round.
Victoria needs multiple rounds to build shields and Focus through Energy Detection before unleashing Lightsword. Without Buri, she is vulnerable to burst snipers that target the back row. Link of Life distributes the burst across the entire team, buying Victoria the time she needs. Frosty Coffin’s crit buffs then amplify her eventual Lightsword damage.
Bolton’s AC Shield (200% max HP) absorbs a massive chunk of front-row damage while his Guardian of Justice provides +5% DMG Mitigation to the entire team. Paired with Buri’s Link of Life distribution and +24% DMG Mitigation, the lineup becomes nearly unkillable in the first 3 rounds.
Harman’s Staunch Will shields all allies every focus skill cast. Combined with Buri’s Link of Life, the lineup has both damage distribution and shield absorption layers. Chimera Anchor UW deals chip damage per shield event, and Link of Life’s distributed hits trigger shield events more frequently across the team.
Interactions with other heroes’ ultimate weapons.
Blaze Shark fires additional bullets when enemies are burning. Frosty Coffin’s +15% crit rate and +30% crit DMG apply to every individual bullet hit, turning Heytex’s many small hits into a devastating stream of critical strikes. The crit buff window lasts as long as Link of Life remains active.
God-Slaying Axe grants all teammates +10% DMG and +10% DMG Mitigation for 2 rounds on each Raging Roar cast. The +10% DMG Mitigation stacks with Link of Life’s +24% DMG Mitigation, extending the window during which the entire lineup can survive under damage distribution.
AC Shield grants Bolton a 200% max HP shield at battle start. Combined with Link of Life activating at battle start via Guardian STR, the lineup has both damage distribution and a massive shield absorbing hits from round 1 — a double-layered defense that prevents any early burst from breaking through.

Counters
- Single-Target Burst (Soft Counter) — Link of Life only distributes 50% of incoming damage — the remaining 50% still hits the targeted hero. Concentrated single-target burst from heroes like Galande or Amum can still kill a low-HP back-row hero through the undistributed portion.
- Casino (Hard Counter) — Casino’s Double Down drains 200 Focus from all enemies on skill cast. This delays Link of Life activation (if Guardian STR is not equipped) or prevents recasts, removing both the damage distribution and the Frosty Coffin crit buffs.
- Diesel (Soft Counter) — Diesel’s anti-shield mechanics can strip Flow of Life shields and Bolton’s AC Shield, removing the protective layers that complement Link of Life’s distribution.
- AOE Lineups (Hard Counter) — AOE damage is spread across all heroes — Link of Life then redistributes 50% of that already-spread damage even further. The combination reduces AOE effectiveness dramatically, as no single hero takes enough damage to be threatened.
- Burst Snipers (Hard Counter) — Heroes like Kelly and Rebecca that target single back-row heroes are directly countered by Link of Life, which distributes 50% of their burst across the team. Combined with Guardian STR’s death immunity, Buri prevents one-shot kills entirely.
Rating
S Tier. Buri is the defining Wildlings tank from Season X2 onward. Link of Life is the single most powerful defensive mechanic in the game — distributing 50% of incoming damage across all heroes prevents any individual from being one-shot, while the +24% DMG Mitigation further reduces total team damage taken. Guardian STR’s battle-start Link cast and one-time death immunity make him uniquely reliable, and Frosty Coffin’s crit buffs turn his defensive mechanic into an offensive multiplier. He is rated S because no other tank offers both team-wide damage distribution and offensive amplification at this level.
