3: Earliest back-row slot. Fires before other back-row carries, softening targets below 50% HP for Galande’s Conviction. Flaming Strike hits 3 back-row enemies, and pos 3 ensures maximum AOE value before single-target heroes clean up.
4: Alternative back-row slot. Fires slightly later but still applies Flaming Strike before most carries act. Works when pos 3 is occupied by another priority hero.
5: Safest slot but fires last. Flaming Strike still hits back-row but by this point most single-target heroes have already acted, reducing the softening value.
Laurel is the Watchers’ primary AOE damage dealer, hitting 3 back-row enemies with Flaming Strike while passively buffing all allies with +3% DMG Bonus and +2% DMG Mitigation via Corporate Arsenal. Her Buried Rose UW accumulates Rose layers from every teammate’s action (up to 20), detonating at max for 300% TAC DMG to all enemies — a devastating team-wide nuke that rewards longer fights. Wolf exclusive gear provides a unique death immunity mechanic through Pledge layers, making Laurel surprisingly durable for a backrow AOE hero.
Pros & Cons
- Flaming Strike hits 3 back-row enemies, bypassing front-row tanks to damage the most valuable enemy heroes directly.
- Corporate Arsenal passively grants +3% DMG Bonus and +2% DMG Mitigation to all allies — a permanent team-wide buff that costs no action or resource.
- Buried Rose UW accumulates Rose layers from every teammate’s action (up to 20); at max, detonates for 300% TAC DMG to all enemies — the highest single-instance AOE damage in the Watchers faction.
- Scarlet Wolf adds +15% TAC DMG and +5% DMG Mitigation, making Laurel both offensively and defensively stronger as the fight progresses.
- Wolf exclusive gear’s Pledge layers provide death immunity at 5 stacks (clears stacks + restores 30% HP on fatal damage), with 2 layers gained at battle start and 1 on the first team status effect.
- Flaming Strike only targets back-row enemies (pos 3-5); front-row tanks are completely safe from her AOE, limiting her value against front-heavy lineups.
- Buried Rose UW requires 20 teammate actions to fully charge — in fast fights or against burst lineups, the detonation may never fire before the fight ends.
- Lower single-target damage than Kelly or Galande; she cannot efficiently focus down a single priority target.
- Gilded Rifle (Elite UW) +15% DMG to back-row is outclassed by Buried Rose’s team-wide nuke in most compositions, making the Elite UW largely irrelevant.

Gear
Wolf is best-in-slot — the Pledge death immunity and status cleanse define Laurel’s survivability. Resolute is mandatory as a second set for the additional death immunity, giving Laurel two chances to survive fatal hits. Hurricane is the strongest early-game offensive option. Apocalypse becomes competitive in crit-focused Buri lineups. Pair Wolf + Resolute as the standard setup.
Exclusive set. 2-piece has 50% chance to clear Poison/Burn/Bleed each round, providing status cleanse. 4-piece gains 2 Pledge layers per round (+3% DMG stacks 5); at 5 layers + fatal damage: clears layers + death immunity + 30% HP restore. Gains 2 at battle start and 1 on first team status effect.
#1 BestStandard DPS survivability set. +0.4% ATK per 1% HP lost. 4-piece death immunity with 30% HP restore provides a second life alongside Wolf’s own death immunity — Laurel can survive two fatal hits.
#2+15% Crit Rate and +30% Crit Damage. Flaming Strike hits 3 targets — each hit can crit independently. Strong in Buri lineups with Frosty Coffin crit bonuses.
#3+10% ATK and +35% DMG after defeating target. Less consistent on an AOE hero who spreads damage rather than finishing kills, but the base +10% ATK is always active.
#4+8% TAC DMG Bonus and +24% Focus DMG. Straightforward damage increase for Laurel’s TAC-based kit. Strong in early-mid game when other sets are not fully upgraded.
#5Laurel is an INT-based AOE damage dealer. Prioritize INT and damage stats on weapon and jewelry (offensive slots), and HP/DEF/VIT on helmet and body (defensive slots). Never roll STR or WPN ATK — Laurel has no WPN damage skills.
DMG Bonus, INT, Crit Rate
DMG Bonus is a universal multiplier on all damage sources. INT scales TAC ATK for Flaming Strike and Buried Rose detonation. Crit Rate amplifies her multi-hit AOE.
HP%, AGI, VIT
Survivability stats. HP% is the most efficient. AGI reduces incoming damage and protects against AGI-targeting skills like Kelly’s Hunting.
DEF, VIT, DMG Mitigation
Pure defense. Laurel needs to survive long enough for Buried Rose to accumulate 20 layers and detonate for the full 300% TAC DMG team nuke.
DMG Bonus, INT, Skill Effect Enhancement
DMG Bonus multiplies everything. INT scales TAC ATK. Skill Effect Enhancement boosts Flaming Strike and Fire Suppression multipliers.

Cross-faction AOE lineup pairing Laurel’s back-row targeting with Marlen’s Sand-based AOE for maximum back-row pressure. Bolton provides front-line tanking and AC Shield durability. Mira heals the front line and provides Mirage UW bleeding. Rebecca adds single-target sniper damage. This lineup prioritises raw AOE damage output over faction synergy, making it a strong mid-game option before better faction-complete lineups are available.
Synergies
Laurel’s Flaming Strike hits 3 back-row enemies, pushing targets below 50% HP. Galande’s Conviction activates against all enemies below 50% HP (+10% damage taken from all sources). Laurel creates the conditions; Galande and the rest of the team exploit them.
Roland’s Scarlet Authority UW makes the lineup deal +10% more DMG and receive +10% more healing/shield. Watchers additionally get +50% skill effects, directly boosting Laurel’s Flaming Strike, Fire Suppression, and Scarlet Wolf multipliers.
Laurel hits 3 back-row enemies with Flaming Strike; Heytex hits 3 random enemies with Bullet Rain. Together they apply AOE pressure from two different targeting mechanisms (positional vs random), leaving no enemy position safe.
Penny’s drones shield the lowest-HP ally and Pinky Silhouette UW clears status effects. Laurel’s Wolf exclusive gear has 50% chance to self-cleanse Poison/Burn/Bleed, and Penny provides backup cleansing. Both sustain mechanics keep Laurel alive for the Buried Rose detonation at 20 layers.
Interactions with other heroes’ ultimate weapons.
Scarlet Authority makes the lineup deal +10% more DMG. Watchers additionally get +50% skill effects, boosting Flaming Strike’s multiplier from 130% to effectively 195% TAC DMG. The +10% healing/shield received also increases Wolf’s death immunity HP restore value.
Drone-hit enemies take +20% more damage for 2 rounds. If Penny’s drones hit a back-row enemy already targeted by Laurel’s Flaming Strike, that enemy takes +20% more damage from all subsequent hits, amplifying the entire team’s output on that target.
Spine Whip gives Kelly 50-100% chance for a second action each round. Each Kelly action contributes 1 Rose layer toward Laurel’s Buried Rose UW detonation. More Kelly actions mean Buried Rose reaches 20 layers faster for the 300% TAC DMG team nuke.

Counters
- Front-row heavy lineups (Hard Counter) — Flaming Strike only targets back-row enemies (pos 3-5). Lineups that stack tanks and supports in front (pos 1-2) with only 1-2 heroes in back row significantly reduce the value of Laurel’s AOE, as she hits fewer valuable targets.
- Casino (Soft Counter) — Casino’s Double Down drains 200 Focus from all enemies. Laurel’s Buried Rose UW requires teammate actions to accumulate layers, but her own skill damage from Flaming Strike is gated behind focus bar fill. Focus drain delays her primary AOE output.
- High DMG Mitigation lineups (Soft Counter) — Laurel’s AOE hits spread across 3 targets with moderate multipliers (130% TAC DMG). Against lineups stacking DMG Mitigation (Ada’s Reviving, Buri’s Link of Life mitigation), each Flaming Strike hit is reduced to negligible damage.
- Fragile backrow lineups (Hard Counter) — Lineups stacking fragile carries in pos 3-5 (Heytex, Rebecca, Victoria) are ideal targets for Flaming Strike. Laurel hits all three simultaneously, and Corporate Arsenal’s +3% DMG Bonus amplifies teammates’ follow-up hits.
- Status-dependent lineups (Soft Counter) — Wolf exclusive gear’s 50% chance to clear Poison/Burn/Bleed each round makes Laurel naturally resistant to status-based lineups that rely on burn or bleed damage. She self-cleanses without requiring teammate support.
Rating
A Tier. Laurel is a solid A-tier AOE damage dealer with genuine support capabilities. Corporate Arsenal’s team-wide +3% DMG Bonus and +2% DMG Mitigation benefit the entire lineup passively. Buried Rose UW provides a powerful late-fight nuke (300% TAC DMG to all enemies) that rewards sustained fights. Wolf exclusive gear’s death immunity makes her surprisingly resilient. However, she lacks the raw carry potential of Heytex (random targeting, mark mechanics) or the single-target burst of Victoria. She is strongest as a support-damage hybrid in Watchers lineups from S0 through mid-Dimensions.
